EP037: An avenging angel metes out justice in Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)

DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW ranks as a high watermark for the horror genre, not just in television, but in any medium. Directed by Frank DeFelitta (Audrey Rose, The Entity) from the script by J.D. Feigelson and starring Larry Drake and Charles Durning, it’s a terrifying exercise in otherworldly justice.

  1. I remember watching this in college with a girl from overseas. She was mortified at the murder and said they couldn’t do that. I told her, yes they could. It was the word of a bunch of “good members of the community” and the person killed was just some kind of “weird guy” and no one was going to ask too many questions.
